Color in Design I explored and applied the historical, cultural, symbolic, personal and professional uses of color through individual and collaborative projects. Using gouache (primary colors, black and white) I mixed pigment to create this color wheel. In this second attempt of painting with gouache, I focused on value scales: monochromatic, achromatic and complimentary. Learning about color schemes and harmony, I painted with gouache to show three color relationships. Understanding optical art, this pointillism painting was carving in a bar while in Vietnam. Working in Illustrator, I created a shape that would vibrate based on my color choices. With specific parameters, this poster made in Illustrator was inspired by psychedelic artwork.
